چکیده

This work establishes a fine model reflecting the characteristics of immersed tube structures to study spatial mechanical variable cross section tunnels. Then, behavior pipe segments under differential deformation is explored, based on which we propose formula for estimating shear key force and analyze corresponding failure mechanism mode. Thus, critical points segment design are specified. The results show that, first, bears more sectional internal (over 47%) than uniform in actual cases, should be fully considered practical reinforcement design. Bearing alternatively occurs at different keys, implying an apparent stiffness matching problem. Second, overall settlement longitudinal bending, failing satisfy assumption deformed plane sections. keys varies with quadratic function bending degree, dislocation magnitude has positive near-linear relationship degree. Third, when subjected torsion, weak sidewalls sheared resist torsion. this laterally transferred top bottom plates jointly shared by adjacent explaining why adjusted structural deformation. Fourth, action deformation, mainly undertaken vertical keys. When structure compression occur end angle middle wall key, its root junction experiences tension failure. local soft subgrade side cause joint Finally, bearing characteristics, mechanism, mode tunnels, idea strengthening put forward, can guide similar engineers.

Simulation of Radio Wave Propagation in Arched Cross-section Tunnels

Since several years, wireless communication systems are developed for train to infrastructure communication needs related to railway or mass transit applications. The systems should be able to operate in specific environments like tunnels. In this context, specific radio planning tools have to be developed to optimise system deployment. Realistic tunnels geometries are generally of rectangular ...

Oscillation of cylinders of rectangular cross section immersed in fluid

The ability to calculate flows generated by oscillating cylinders immersed in fluid is a cornerstone in microand nanodevice development. In this article, we present a detailed theoretical analysis of the hydrodynamic load experienced by an oscillating rigid cylinder, of arbitrary rectangular cross section, that is immersed in an unbounded viscous fluid. We also consider the formal limit of invi...

Semi-analytical Approach for Free Vibration Analysis of Variable Cross-Section Beams Resting on Elastic Foundation and under Axial Force

in this paper, free vibration of an Euler-Bernoulli beam with variable cross-section resting on elastic foundation and under axial tensile force is considered. Beam’s constant height and exponentially varying width yields variable cross-section. The problem is handled for three different boundary conditions: clamped-clamped, simply supported-simply supported and clamp-free beams. First, the equ...

Analytical Solution for Free Vibration of a Variable Cross-Section Nonlocal Nanobeam

In this article, small scale effects on free vibration analysis of non-uniform nanobeams is discussed. Small scale effects are modelled after Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory while the non-uniformity is presented by exponentially varying width among the beams length with constant thickness. Analytical solution is achieved for free vibration with different boundary conditions. It is shown th...
